Top 3 Guideline To Choose A MLM Company and Earn Extra Income

For today’s ways to make extra money, we will again continue with our topic which is network marketing.

This time I will share to you one of the basic guidelines in choosing the appropriate network marketing business that is fit to you and your capacity. This guideline I also learned from experience and by reading books of Jim Rohn.

First Guideline – I don’t join any MLM/network marketing where I don’t believe in the product or service that the MLM Company is offering.  Personally, this guideline for me is more of a rule. I never join any network marketing business unless I think the product can personally help me.


It is important that I should be the first person to benefit from the product. Before I even think of it as one of the ways to make extra money, I first look at whether I can personally benefit from what that specific MLM Company has to offer.

Second Guideline – For me in any business, culture is always king. If a specific business has poor culture then, the long term standing of that business is for me questionable. For example, if I see the heads on that network marketing company who usually brag, hype, and lie, I don’t do any business with them at all. For me culture will allow you to read between the lines. The hidden agendas are always obvious when you watch first.

Third and last guideline is I look at the people. I agree with Seth Godin that loyal customers can also be considered as tribes. In a network marketing company, the networkers are also considered tribes. Meaning the people in a network marketing company is a tribe that has a leader they look up to, and a product they believe in.

This “tribe” has a certain attitude and beliefs that could either conflict or jive with your beliefs as well. If my personal values and beliefs do not coincide with the tribe (people) in that company I do not proceed with joining them. Even if the culture is good and even if the product is great, I still do not join.

With these 3 guidelines I have observe something very important. During the times that I violate any of the guidelines I end up failing in the network marketing business. Or sometimes I can only get a few people, sell a few products, and then loss the drive by a matter of 2-3 months. Although I have never really experienced not getting back my investment but when I break the guidelines above I always end up unsuccessful.

So again before even thinking of any ways to make extra money through network marketing, make sure you follow the simple yet powerful guidelines above.
